Portuguese gastronomy

Portuguese cuisine can be integrated into the Mediterranean cuisine, so the three axes of Portuguese cuisine are bread, wine and oil. However, the influence of former Portuguese colonies in Asia, Africa and America (Brazilian cuisine) is also evident, especially in the use of spices such as piri piri, paprika and cinnamon. The strong Atlantic character differentiates it from other Mediterranean cuisines that almost completely dispense with lentils, eggplants or cardoons.
